Из высказываний
Свободные заезды (пятница):
"The incident with Jean this morning really spoiled my day, because I lost my
first dry run with the weather conditions changing later that proved crucial.
"The car felt better on the new, wider Goodyear front tyres, so I would say they
are an improvement. This afternoon the handling balance was at its best in the first
section of my final slowing down lap, so my time wasn't really representative, but there
is still too much understeer. We have to work on that tonight.
"As far as my neck is concerned, I spent the last 10 days since Brazil working
with our physician Josef Leberer, and it felt okay today."
Квалификация (суббота):
"I had a brake problem as a hangover from yesterday, and when the track dried out
halfway through this morning it became clear we hadn't cured it. The balance was working
itself far too much and locking the wheels. Then there was a problem with the master
cylinder, so I lost the chance of dry running in the second half of free practice.
"This afternoon I took the spare car, 02, and despite the lack of dry running
managed to move ahead of Jean. My first run was generally okay, but on the second I
suddenly lost all drive and coasted to a halt. I ran back to the pits for my original
chassis, 04, and went quicker still but then the brake problem recurred and I spun on my
final run.
"I thought Brazil was bad enough, but this weekend I've had problems in every
session. It's been absolutely and totally frustating and my grid position doesn't reflect
our potential at all."
Гонка (воскресенье):
"A one-stop strategy seemed the better option for me, given where I was starting
on the grid. The car felt okay in the early stages and things were going quite well until
Damon hit my left rear tyre as we were fighting for ninth place. I'm surprised he did
that, given all his experience. It damaged my car too badly to continue, given that I had
the best part of a lap to run on a split tyre.
"I guess South America hasn't been a very happy hunting ground for me this year;
all I can do is look forward to Imola and less frustration."
