Свободные заезды (пятница):
"The performance of the Tyrrell-Ford 026 is better than in Brazil two weeks ago, and I am sure that must be the result of the Goodyear's newest tyres, which we are using this weekend. A heavy shower at the beginning of the afternoon session meant I didn't have as many laps in the car today as I would have liked because this is a brand-new circuit for me. I must admit I was surprised to see my time when I cam e back to the pits this afternoon - and very happy. I cannot get too excited, though, because tomorrow is another day and I am sure that many of the top drivers will improve their times.  Still, on the strength of today, I believe that I can qualify well tomorrow."

"I am quite pleased with today's result, particularly since I am once again racing on a circuit I had never seen before this weekend. I felt sure, even though we were 7th quickest at the end of yesterday's practise sessions, that quite a few drivers would improve their times further today and, therefore, end up ahead of us on the grid. I am happy with the handling and balance of the Tyrrell-Ford around here, so I am hopeful of putting in a good performance in tomorrow's Grand Prix."

"I am very pleased, both for myself and for the team, to have finished my first Grand Prix. It was a difficult race with a lot of traffic, but my car ran completely reliably and the team gave me a good pit stop. The track became very slippery when there was a shower late in the race. I also went off the circuit briefly while trying to overtake Trulli's Prost for 11th. Fortunately, I did not do any damage to the car and I was able to keep the engine running and continue to the end of the race. Now I know what it feels like to finish a Grand Prix, I want to finish many more, and improve my results in the process. I am now looking forward to racing on the European circuits which I experienced when competing in the Porsche Cup."
