"I am pleased with the work we have done today but a little frustrated not to have
put in a better time because there is certainly more to come. The Tyrrell-Ford works well
around here and as long as the weather is good tomorrow, I am confident of improving my
time. I like the circuit. It is quite challenging, although there are a perhaps a few too
many chicanes."
Квалификация (суббота):
"It was a reasonable performance, but I really felt we could have been a little
further up the grid than we are. The car feels good and the new specification Ford Zetec-R
V10 engine provided by Cosworth this weekend is a useful improvement. We have experimented
with various things in practise and I think we should have a good set-up for the race. As
always, it is now necessary to focus on tomorrow's race and make sure our strategy is
right. I think there is the possibility of a good result."

"It is always very disappointing not to finish a race, but even more so when there
is the chance of a good result. Realistically, it would have been possible to finish
eighth today if we hadn't had the engine problem. As for the race, I got away well at the
start and managed to avoid any accidents on the opening laps, and then both pit stops were
very good. The car was running well up until the point when the engine air pressure system
failed."
