Свободные заезды (пятница):
"It is not easy to find the right compromise in terms of having sufficient
downforce for the Motodrom and enough top speed for the straights. As the speeds show,
engine power is not a problem for us, but I was sliding quite a bit in the stadium section
as I did not have enough grip. Furthermore, Hockenheim seems to be much more bumpy than in
previous years, so you are shaken around a lot in the cockpit and we ran with a slightly
higher ride height than usual. Qualifying will be difficult and I cannot make any
predictions. This track often comes up with surprise."
Квалификация (суббота):
"Of course I am disappointed with my grid position. It is definitely the wrong
time and the wrong place to have my worst qualifying of the season. Even without my
problems in this morning's free practice, I would have only been a couple of tenths
quicker. As can be seen from Eddie's time, our performance level was not good enough. In
the first half of the morning session, I made a mistake and in the second half I did
hardly any laps because of an engine failure. I hope the crowd is not too disappointed as
my brother had a good session. We have to work very hard for tomorrow to improve the car.
It is possible to overtake here, it is a long race and anything can happen."

"I am sorry that I was unable to do better in front of my home crowd. But after
qualifying ninth and being off the pace all weekend, there was no reason to expect a
miracle during the race. Finishing fifth was the best I could do. My main problem was lack
of grip in the Motodrom, where it was dififcult to simply keep the car on the road. We now
have to concentrate on Hungary and I hope our car will be better suited to the Hungaroring
than it was to Hockenheim."
