Preview:
"I have fond memories of Hockenheim because it was where I clinched the Lotus Euroseries Championship in 1990. It's a circuit that requires good brakes and good speed for the fast straights. It's not a demanding circuit tactically, because there are not too many fast corners so the car needs to be set up for straight-line speed. During the Monza test the car was well balanced and starting to work well with low downforce. Hopefully that will give us a chance of a good qualifying position."

"I was fighting the car a little bit today because I found the rear quite unstable at times. We haven't really got a clear picture of a set-up for qualifying but we'll have to work through a programme tomorrow morning and decide which direction to take. Generally my speed is good, but there's some work to do on the car's handling and consistency throughout a lap."

Квалификация (суббота):
"There is no doubt that I lost a position towards the end because Ralf Schumacher wasn't aware that I was making a fast approach at the entrance to the stadium. He had slowed down but his car was still on the racing line. I thought that maybe if he had a problem he should have gone off line. It caused an unnecessary distraction because I knew I was on a quick lap. It was a disappointing end to what was a good qualifying session for me. We found some improvement in the car from this morning particularly in the area of traction. I tried to do the best job possible but I was annoyed with the way it finished. If you look at my sector times on that last flying lap I would have gained a position on the grid."

Гонка (воскресение):
"There's nothing much I can say really. I had to take off some wing to suit my race strategy. I was having a good battle with Herbert and Alesi until the gearbox problem. I felt the car was quite good, I was able to overtake when I needed but I think the best we could have hoped for was a top 10 finish. What happened today shows that we have to do a lot more race distance running to try and get more all-round reliability."
