Preview:
"There is a bit of everything on offer during a lap of Spa. You get fast-speed
corners, testing low-speed corners, plenty of hard braking and chances to overtake. I have
good memories of Spa. I won several single-seater races earlier in my career and I was on
pole for the 1994 Belgian GP so I'm looking forward, as always, to returning. The
Silverstone test was the best I've had there all season. We found sixth tenths of a second
from the British GP qualifying time working on adjustments which suit Spa, so we are
comfortable with the car's preparation for the race."

"I'm reasonably happy with the balance and the overall feel of the car, much more
than I normally am on the Friday of a race weekend. I am more comfortable than I have been
for the last four races. It means that I am able to attack the car a lot more which is
very important at Spa. For the car to work straight out of the blocks like it has today is
quite encouraging. With further improvements to set-up tomorrow, we can look forward to a
solid qualifying."

"Fourteenth does not seem like a good position particularly after how well the car
was performing yesterday but my last lap felt very good. The adjustments we made to the
front suspension throughout yesterday and today have improved the car's handling quite a
lot. I thought that I might have been higher on the grid but it looks like Prost and
Sauber found more than we did overnight. I'm not too disappointed though because it was a
hard qualifying session. The tyres are holding up well which is comforting for the race.
We'll see what happens in tomorrow's warm-up and take it from there."

"It was a very chaotic start to the race. The conditions out there were terrible
and coming into the La Source after the start, there was absolutely no visibility. I
braked when I felt that something was happening in front of me on the exit but was hit
from behind which sent me into a spin. I was hit again from the side and then got caught
up in the whole mess. The second impact caused some damage to my left arm. It's quite
painful, but thankfully nothing is broken. However, the car is not in such good shape. In
hindsight, I think someone should have taken the decision to start the race behind the
safety car."
