Preview:
"Last year's Grand Prix was full of incident for me and I was rather frustratingly caught behind Alesi, spending a major part of the race battling with him. This year I feel more confident than ever with the car and am looking forward to the first European race of the season"

Свободные заезды (пятница):
"We did some good work in both sessions to improve the chassis and develop my performance, but I also had some trouble with traffic and the number of yellow flags naturally slowed me up. I had an incident at the fifth corner, where I went wide and caused some damage to the car. Fortunately the mechanics fixed the car very quickly and I was able to finish the session."

Квалификация (суббота):
"Naturally I am disappointed not to be on pole, because it is always an advantage to occupy the best position on the grid. Part of the reason is that I had a problem in the last section where my tyres didn't work to perfection, which cost me a few tenths. The high temperatures will make it an interesting race in terms of tyre wear."

Гонка (воскресенье):
"I was in a comfortable second place feeling no pressure from Michael and content to hold the 2- 3 second gap to David. Then I had gearbox failure of which I had very little warning. Obviously I am pleased that David won the race which prevents Michael from achieving an extra four possible points. There is now a very interesting situation between David and myself and I think he is looking forward to the remaining races as much as I am."
