"The Canadian Grand Prix usually produces a good race because of the high number
of chicanes and the hairpin which actually do provide overtaking opportunities. The
circuit is almost completely devoid of fast corners except for turn five. This corner is
fast and difficult because it is blind and there is no run off. I find the hairpin
frustrating as however you try to take it you find you go round it at the same speed each
time - very slowly! The first section with its combination of corners, is my favourite
part of the track.
"In many ways the circuit in Canada is similar to Imola in that the priority is to
have a car which has good brakes and has good horsepower. It is a tight, slippery first
section, which is like a street track, and the rest is hairpins and chicanes.
"The best thing about the Canadian Grand Prix is Montreal itself. It is a great
city. The people are fantastic; they are very friendly and make you feel so welcome. They
give you a great reception!"

"I am always cautious about reading too much into the Friday results, but I have
to say things today looked encouraging. I am happy with the car's balance - it felt good
from the first lap. I think it is now down to fine tuning as far as this weekend goes to
get the last bit out of the car. Goodyear have done a good job - the new tyres seem to be
very good. I feel a lot better about things than I did in Monaco. I would be happy
tomorrow if we qualify where we are today."

"I am not happy with tenth place really, but I have not got very much to say about
it. It is good that Ralf managed to qualify fifth as it puts the team in a good position
to win points in the race, but I want to find out the reasons why he was able to be
quicker than me today. We have set up our cars differently, so I will want to compare the
two set ups. I had to fight more with the car today - I had a lot of spins. Basically I
found it difficult to get a good time out of it."

"I feel so disappointed so I can't imagine how Eddie and the team feels. We really
needed to get points, and we were looking not only to do that but to be on to the podium,
only then to be caught out by what seems to be an electrical problem. We can take some
comfort from the fact that we were not only up with the front runners, but were making
fairly respectable times and were competitive. I was running beautifully on a one stop
strategy and then I got a misfire. It felt so fantastic to be up at the front again. This
was the first time this year that I have been able to race for the top three positions and
I was not going to let second or third place go that easily, so I enjoyed some racing with
Michael!"
