Из высказываний
Свободные заезды (пятница):
"I lost all of the first session today when a fuel pressure problem caused the car
to stop out on the circuit, but we made progress this afternoon. I am working with my race
engineer to try to get a good balance for the chassis and also trying to make the car
stable under braking, which is very important at this circuit. Tomorrow we try to make
further improvements. The weather is very unpredictable here in Montreal at the moment
with rain showers predicted for the weekend, and this could have a significant effect on
qualifying and the race."
Квалификация (суббота):
"I would have liked to be higher up the grid, but five of the drivers starting
immediately in front of me tomorrow only qualified a couple of tenths quicker so I think
there will be a chance to get ahead of them if we have a good start. If I drive a good
consistent race and we have trouble-free pit stops, then we should also be able to stay
ahead of them and, hopefully, finish ahead of them."
Гонка (воскресенье):
"I am pleased to have got my best result of the season. It also matches my best
ever result, in Hungary, in 1996. The early stages of the race were amazing with cars
going off everywhere and the safety car coming out twice. At one point, there were clumps
of earth and grass around the track, which I understand Diniz dropped, but fortunately I
managed to avoid them. The engineers were clever and used the safety car incidents to
bring me in for fuel and tyres and then I just concentrated on running a consistent long
middle stint until I made a final stop late in the race for a quick fuel top-up."
