Свободные заезды (пятница):
"Today's untimed sessions were not hugely satisfying. The straight line speed is
OK, but I am struggling with the grip level and am sliding a bit in the 'motordrome'. To
keep the speed on the straight is always a compromise at Hockenheim, but we need to work
on mechanical grip to be faster in the corners. Having said that, both the team and I are
prepared for the race and we can certainly put in a strong qualifying performance."
Квалификация (суббота):
"The session didn't go too badly. Initially, I was overdriving the car, as it was
may first experience of a low downforce setting and I pushed the tyres and the car over
the limit. The third time I went out I was a lot less aggressive and it worked out well. I
think Benetton and Bridgestone will be a strong combination for the race and we should be
able to secure some more points."

"I had a terrible start because I had a problem with the clutch and nearly stalled
twice. Once I got going I didn't have any trouble getting past the first back markers, but
then I got stuck behind Johnny Herbert and he was losing an awful lot of oil, so it was
very slippery. Once Johnny was out of the race I managed to go at least half to one second
a lap quicker."
