Preview:
"Unlike many of the drivers, I have not tested here very much this year. I like the track except for the undulations in the track surface. Last year I did not have a very good race and had problems with blisters on my tyres, so I hope to do better this time. The circuit layout is interesting, with several long fast corners which I enjoy driving, but these corners will mean that tyre wear might be an issue. In terms of set-up, it is important to dial out any understeer as this causes problems in the long turns."

Свободные заезды (пятница):
"This was non a very positive day. I had too much of everything! Too much overseer, understeer and brake problems. This is the worst I have known the car this year and I do not believe my position reflects the true order of performance. After the testing we did last week I expected these problems. We need the wind to change direction as this affects the handling of the car. The new rear bodywork does not make a difference on the stopwatch, but it does make the car less nervous to drive. As for the tyre choice, we can pick either reliability or speed."

Квалификация (суббота):
"I am bit disappointed as the car seemed better in the morning and I had thought I might have been on the second row, but maybe that was not realistic. On my first run I had too much understeer so we made some changes on the car but they did not work. On my last run I therefore pushed very hard and made a couple of mistakes. But for the I might have been three tenths quicker. Tomorrow I will be happy to come away with a few points. I hope we have a dry race and with Ferrari's good pit stops and strategy maybe I can make up a few places."

"I made a very good start. I have gone back to my old starting technique and it seems to work. As for the accident, I do not want to blame anyone, but I will say it was not my fault. After the pit stop I had a lot of fuel on board as we had planned a long second stint and Fisichella came out of the last corner very well and came alongside me. We braked at the same time and he turned in on me. In these situations there is nowhere to go. It was a great shame as I was having a really good race."
