Свободные заезды (пятница):
"I am very satisfied with today because I had no problems with the car. On my
fastest lap I was slowed by a Tyrrell and that is disappointing because I think I could
have set the eighth best time. The car has progressed a lot since the test here last week,
it is more stable and less nervous, and that gives me the confidence to attack."
Квалификация (суббота):
"In this morning's session we lost some time due to a minor problem with the
alternator. It's a pity because we could have had an even better set-up for qualifying.
However, I am quite satisfied with the direction we have taken: the car is evolving and we
have improved the chassis and the engine, even though our place on the starting grid does
not reflect this. The engineers did a great job to identify and solve the problems. It's
important for our progress."

"I had a very good start and made up a few places, but the first time I had to
brake I felt something under the accelerator pedal and that is why I came back to the
pits. The race after that went okay, but I was fighting with Johnny Herbert when he went
off the track and cut in front of me as he recovered. I had to run off the track to avoid
him, getting my tyres dirty, and then it took me one lap to clean them up. But in the
first quick chicane I spun because I had not got the grip back and I ended up in the
gravel. "
