Свободные заезды (пятница):
"We were able to sort out a decent chassis balance as the morning session progressed and that reflected in the fact that we were able to record encouraging times this afternoon. We were also evaluating tyres and I set my best time on Goodyear's Option rubber. It's a shame about the fire, but I could smell petrol on my last lap before coming into the pits and when I arrived at the garage, I could feel it getting rather hot. Needless to say, I got out of the car pretty quickly."

Квалификация (суббота):
"I am very happy with today's result, which is my best qualifying performance this year. It's the result of testing and working to get the car the way I like to drive it. When you are comfortable with the car, you can go into corners with confidence knowing that you can push just that little bit extra. I am also encouraged by the fact that several of the drivers immediately in front of me today were only a few hundredths quicker, so if I am able to get ahead of them at the start tomorrow, there will be every possibility of staying ahead."

"I got away cleanly enough at the beginning of the race and settled down in 16th place with Tora right behind me. Things were fine until about lap 10, when I got an air pressure alarm and the team instructed me to 'short shift' to try and keep the engine running until the first of my two pit stops. I let Tora by at this point so as not to spoil his race and then pitted on lap 17. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done in the time available. It's a shame because I quite like this circuit and felt we could have achieved a good result today."
