Preview:
"This track has changed a lot over the years but it is still very quick and very demanding physically. I think several teams will be competitive here and I hope to be up near the front. This is not really my home race, as I have not driven so much here. However, a lot of fans come over from both the North and South of Ireland and it will be good to have their support. To be honest, this track has always been a disaster for me, even back in F 3000. If things go wrong this year, when our car is so good, then it will mean this is my unlucky circuit!"

"This morning I spun because my car was too much on the nose and I simply lost the back end. The lost time did not matter too much as we were testing here last week. The change in wind direction means the car does not feel quite as good as at the test, because it makes the rear of the car slightly unstable. It will be difficult to make the right tyre choice for this race."

 ():
"I am disappointed not to have beaten Coulthard but I do not think I could have done Villeneuve's time. I had a bit too much understeer in the last two corners and I made a slight mistake in the first section of my quick lap. The car was very good and I think it will be the same for the race. Tyres will not be a factor tomorrow. Starting fifth is probably better than fourth because it is the best side of the grid and my target is definitely another podium. Today I think we got the maximum I could out of my car and considering the other teams test more than we do here, this is a good result."
