Preview:
"We learned quite a bit from the test. I would have liked to finish higher up the time sheet, but I guess we now know we will have to work harder to make the top 10 in qualifying. Because it's not easy to overtake here, qualifying is very important. The car is working well in the fast corners but we are losing time through the slower sections like the complex. Silverstone is an open race because it's tough on engines, brakes and tyres. If we qualify well and get a good start, a finish in the points is a possibility."

"At present the balance of the car is not great which means we may have to revise our plans on set-up. The track conditions are not like they were during the test so we are struggling a little with grip. We were also caught out by the wind today. However, since the conditions are the same for everyone it shows that we have some catching up to do. At least we know the areas where we can find improvement."

 ():
"Whatever I tried with the set-up didn't seem to improve the handling of the car. I couldn't even manage to match the times I recorded in testing which is very frustrating. I must say the last two years at Silverstone in qualifying have been sessions I would rather forget. All I can do is drive well and hope for reliability in the race."

"Our decision to take a risk with the slicks seemed to be paying off until it rained. We lost a lot of time in the first 10 laps which we never really got back. I felt a little unlucky to loose the car when I did because, apart from the leaders, my times were pretty good on wet tyres. I was impressed with the driveability of the engine in the wet. Coming out of Club the car aquaplaned and I lost it. I guess we all have to go off sometime, it's a shame it happened here particularly since I felt I had a chance to gain a couple of places if I kept it together."
