Из высказываний
Свободные заезды (пятница):
"The main issue today in terms of chassis balance was understeer. We made good
progress and I think that reflects in the fact we set the 13th quickest time. Mind you, if
the weather deteriorates tomorrow and we have wet conditions, anything can happen. In some
ways, I think that might be good for us since driveability rather that outright horsepower
is more important on a wet track, and our engines do have a nicely progressive power
delivery. Whatever happens as far as the weather is concerned though, it's the same for
everybody and we've just got to deal with it."
Квалификация (суббота):
"For some reason, I just couldn't get the car going as well this afternoon as I
did this morning. It's disappointing, because I felt we could have been the fastest
Ford-powered qualifier once again. Now we will just concentrate on getting ready for the
race. If it rains tomorrow and we have a wet Grand Prix, anything can happen."
Гонка (воскресение):
"I think it is an encouraging result to have finished ninth in a very difficult
race, but I also feel we could have done better. I was not particularly happy with the
handling of my car from Saturday afternoon onward, but we couldn't really put our finger
on the problem in order to rectify it. As far as tyre choice and pit stop strategy for the
race was concerned, the team and my engineer, David Brown, got it just right.
Unfortunately, a loss of grip from the tyres toward the end of the race meant although I
was pushing to the maximum, the lap times were not brilliant. Anyway, we'll see what
happens at the next race. We have work to do between now and then."
