"Last year we had the first Formula 1 race on the new A1-Ring in Spielberg. Everybody was a bit afraid that the circuit could be not very interesting after it was totally rebuilt. Fortunately it proved entertaining. It is good for to drive there. I hope our team can be as competitive as in the last races and again a lot of Ferrari fans will support us."

"Today, we had a few more difficulties than expected. On my first run a front wheel locked up and I went off the track. I lost the rest of the morning session while the mechanics worked on the car to repair the damage from the gravel trap. In the afternoon, I had a similar situation - this time a rear wheel locked up. This meant our programme for the day was incomplete. Towards the end we made some small improvement, but at the moment the gap to the front is too big. We will have a lot of work to do tomorrow to be more competitive in qualifying."

"We had planned to stay on wets, but then we saw other drivers improving their times on intermediates, We therefore decided to fit the same. This took some time as we changed the settings and I therefore went out too late and could not get the best time out f the car. I am not worried about starting from the second row with Mika beside me, but both of us will have to get to the front. A good start will be important."

"This was an extraordinary race. Considering what happened to me I could not have expected to walk away with four points, so I am extremely satisfied. As for my accident, I lost control as I was going too quickly, went wide on the dirt and I could not keep it on the track. It was a stupid mistake. As the car jumped through the gravel and I lost my front wing, I thought there was more damage, but the car proved to be very strong. Once again the team did a great job in the pits and for this I thank my engineers and mechanics. The car felt okay and I could do quick laps and I began to pick up places. All the drivers I passed were very fair. I had a good battle with my brother, who drove a very good race. Towards the end, Eddie and I both had brake problems so we had to back off a bit."
