Свободные заезды (пятница):
"The day's efforts were spoilt by an engine problem that was losing me two seconds
a lap compared with Tora. We believe we have made some useful progress with the handling
today, but we weren't able to evaluate the changes fully because of the engine
difficulties. We also didn't want to waste tyres with a down-on-power engine. With a fresh
V10 installed overnight, I hope we can make up for lost time tomorrow."
Квалификация (суббота):
"My first two laps out of the pits were really bad. The car was oversteering very
strongly and we were struggling with traction. There were rivers of water running across
the circuit in places and it was a major achievement just to keep the car pointing in the
right direction. It was very, very difficult out there. I was as high as 15th on the
timing screens at one point, which was good, but then the surface began to dry and quite a
few drivers went quicker. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough laps to take advantage of
the rapidly improving conditions. Like Tora, I hope it will be a dry race."
Гонка (воскресение):
"I made a really good start and successfully avoided the Prost that had stalled on
the grid and the cars that had spun when Tora went off at the first corner. I was up to
13th by lap four and the settled down into a good race rhythm. The team did two excellent
pit stops and I moved into 12th place after Verstappen's retirement. I had a big fright on
the last lap when a tyre deflated without warning and took off the rear wing. I managed to
drive very slowly back to the pits and was still classified 12th."
