"Today I was really concentrating on getting to know the circuit because this is the first time I've driven a Formula 1 car here. Although I am among the fastest drivers in the field in terms of pure speed, I am still not entirely happy about my car. It seems to be lacking grip. We have to work on the car's aerodynamics if we want to make gains in performance."

Квалификация (суббота):
"I expected a much better result out of this qualifying round. The team did a great job and we considerably improved the mechanical and aerodynamic set-ups. The car reacted very well on the dry, as well as on the wet. Unfortunately, I just wasn't able to get the same "feeling" out of it during my last runs - when I was on my final set of tyres - as I had earlier in the session. That was why I couldn't gain that extra two or three-tenths of a second that would have put me on the first half of the grid for tomorrow's race."

"As far as I'm concerned, the outcome was obvious pretty early on. After a good start, I felt that something wasn't right. It seems that the gearbox arm had worked loose, a problem that Olivier had come up against on Saturday morning. I had to pull out of the race on the sixth lap."
