"We worked on a few things for the race set-up and I am quite happy with eighth place. There is still some work to be done as the car is quite nervous and the circuit grip keeps changing, but this is usual for practice. I think qualifying tomorrow is going to be more interesting for the spectators than it is for me."

 ():
"We did as well as we could, considering we are not miracle workers. The car doesn't feel too bad and the balance is better. Giancarlo and I are at more or less the same level, but the problem is we are far too slow. The fundamental issue is that of grip between the car and track, and this isn't something we can solve overnight. We have to work both on this and our strategy. We always tend to go well in the race so I am not too concerned, although starting from 10th position is quite a challenge. I need lots of luck, a good start and hopefully I can still score some points tomorrow."

 ():
"We had a three stop strategy because I had nothing to lose; all I could do was improve my starting position. I had a very disappointing qualifying so I am really happy with two world championship points because I had a few problems with grip. I could not hold off David Coulthard, but I was lucky to finish in front of him because of his refuelling problems..."
